Fuel Accelerator Set to Launch in Summer 2021

Fuel will return this summer with its third cohort of seed and growth-stage companies in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Lead by Startup Junkie Foundation and funded by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) and corporate sponsors, the program is recruiting companies to Northwest Arkansas for a 12-week, enterprise-ready accelerator.

Fuel will once again feature key programmatic partners such as RevUnit, a strategic technology partner to Walmart, J.B. Hunt, and Tyson, as well from Catapult Consulting, founded and led Tom Douglass, former Director of Emerging Technology at Walmart Stores Inc. In addition, Fuel participants will benefit from mentorship and expertise from various regional, state and national subject matter experts.

Right to Start Launches Entrepreneurship Initiative in Northwest Arkansas

Right to Start recently announced that it has launched an initiative in Northwest Arkansas to advance entrepreneurship as a community priority. Its goal is to engage underserved communities and build an inclusive regional environment that supports new businesses, which create virtually all job growth in America.

The initiative is funded by the Walton Family Foundation to enhance inclusive entrepreneurship and create a model in Northwest Arkansas that, once implemented, can be replicated across the nation.

Victor Hwang is the founder and CEO of Right to Start. Previously, he was Vice President of Entrepreneurship at the Kauffman Foundation. At Kauffman, he led initiatives that impacted over 200,000 entrepreneurs, including efforts in catalyzing capital formation, transforming economic development practices, launching a national policy roadmap, and breaking barriers for underserved entrepreneurs.
